Communication at Work that Promotes Growth and Wellness

As peer specialists, how we communicate and the language we use at work is important and is connected to our own wellness. We tend to compromise our overall well-being while in conversations with others, and sometimes with ourselves, because: it is (a) easier, (b) based on fear and discomfort, or (c) what we are taught is the "right" thing to do. We will explore how we can implement healthy boundaries at work, how and when to speak up, and to shift our thinking from doubt to confidence. Learning Objectives: - Exploring other options to say "no" without saying "no." - Learning to shift our mindset to keep us open to creativity, possibility, and productivity. - Identifying passive language and transform it to active language.
